Walking down the city street, cluttered and people rushing by you. Runo walked into Central Park with his hands in his pockets and looking at his surroundings... His jacket was open as usual and wolf necklace shown on his tank top. He stopped for a moment and looked at a family laying fetch with a golden retriever, they seemed so happy. Runo sighed, he hasnt seen his parents since he was 15, and he wasnt planning on meeting them again anytime soon... but ever since he was a child he wanted to have a dog, and never got one single animal... Runo blanked out just then, standing in the center of the sidewalk looking onto the grass two yards away...

Kat was walking down the sidewalk, she was reading a book and wasnt watching where she was going. She walked right into Runo and droped her book onto the ground. She looked up at him and smiled. Um... Sorry bout that. She was a little zoned out and kinda diddnt back up so they were really close.

"hu-" said Runo as he was bumped.
"oh, its alright" he said smiling as he backed up a bit, kneeled down and picked up her book.
"here" he said as he handed her the book; he examined her just so lightly, he could've sworn he saw her somwhere before...

"Runo, nice meetin' ya" he said as he shook her hand, the one without the book, he had that strange mix of slang and country accent, but not the deep western accent.
"so, live here?" he asked.

"yeah... hm... I swore I've seen you before... do you go to the Life Cafe?" he asked, thats where he worked as a bartender.

She smiled. Sometimes. She began to think and then looked back at him. Yah but Im not much of a drinker. She said still smileing but not like those huge scary smiles, just a small sweet smile.

"same, yeah, thats probably wher I saw you, i bartend there" he said smiling, suddenly at a corner of his eye he saw a gang coming their way.
"here, lets go on the grass" he said as he turned a little so the gang didnt notice him, thi was a major one near his apartment, and they were always trying to get him in trouble.

She nodded. Oh ok. She smiled as she as she followed him. What are you doing? She looked around him and saw a gang coming then looked back at him still smileing sweet as ever.

"getting away from a gang I know.." he said, and just as he said that, quietly, the gang passed them, and he acted as if he didnt know them, and luckily, they didnt see him...one of them winked at Kat though.
Runo sighed in relief as they left.
The dog he saw over padded over to him and made a friendly woof, with the boy chasing the retriever. Runo bent down and pet the dog, then smiled at the parents of the boy and dog, to make sure they knew that this wasnt some strange robber. The boy stopped a couple yards away and yelled out Lucky, the retriever turned around and started to run after the boy, the boy laughed and ran back to his parents, and the dog followed.
Runo stood up and smiled at the family, then straightened his jacket and put his hands back into his pockets. He smiled at Kat "I always wanted a dog" he said, then gave a soft chukle as he looked at the boy and dog again.

Kat didnt care much for gangs and just sighed. She wanted to flip him off cause she knew guys like that but she didnt want to get Runo in trouble. She did thought give the guy that winked at her a kinda annoyed look. She looked at Runo and sighed again and then smiled sweetly. Yah know i love dogs but never really had one. She smiled at the boy then looked back at Runo. (is kidnapping allowed cause i think it would be kinda cool if Kat got kidnapped  but thats me.) |

"same" said Runo, he sighed then thought for a little... "...so, are you a student here? or, just here.." said Runo, there was a good chance she was a student... but then again, who knows..

Um. No. Im kinda here and there. She sat down and set her backpack to her side. She stretched her legs out and closed her eyes for a sec, then opened them and looked back at Runo.
